Then were we like those who dream.

A sermon for the Third Sunday of Advent, December 13, 2020, at St. Paul’s in Greensboro, Alabama. “What does our community, our nation, look like when we are restored? How can we bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty and jubilee? How do we repair the ruined cities? How do we stitch ourselves back together again? After this long year of sickness and death, of economic ruin, of protests, and political division, what is God’s dream for us?”

Readings: Isaiah 61:1-4, 8-11 * Psalm 126 * 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24 * John 1:6-8,19-28
