“…do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows”

This morning I got to be with the good folks at St. Mary’s in Jasper. This was my first time there, though I have driven past it many times on my way to Camp McDowell. Do to COVID-19, we worship outside. They have a beautiful little prayer garden in the trees next to the church. I was thankful for the shade.

At Trinity Commons, I continue to skirt on the edge of the challenge to preach on the readings from Genesis. Abraham, Hagar, and Ishmael are in the sermon, but the reading from Matthew was too tempting.

Readings: Genesis 21:8-21 * Psalm 86:1-10, 16-17 * Romans 6:1b-11 * Matthew 10:24-39
