How would Jesus host a dinner party?

Why is Jesus telling us where we should sit at a party and who should be invited? There is a lot more going on than table manners. This morning I had the chance to be with the good folks at St. Mark’s in Birmingham, and offer a sermon on the 12th Sunday after Pentecost.
